Your Silent Friend |

Sitting on the steps so quiet and shy, Was a lost little boy with a tear in his eye. No one wanted to come out and play. His friends all told him to go away. But I am here. I'll be you're silent friend. I've been with you since way back when. I'll see you through your ups and downs. With you I will be, when no one else is around. I'll always be right by your side. Only in the shade is where I can hide. I know everything you see and do. For I am the shadow that follows you. |

Very nice. ~Astraea "Sometimes stars can only be seen in darkness." "Sorrow's crown of sorrow is remembering happier things." |

This is a cute poem, made me think of the "imaginary friends" that children sometimes keep. Open arms can be the most fragile in the world... |

This is adorable, I too could picture the little boy. Reminded me of the times when I was little that I used to play with my shadow, it was fun =o) ~*~ Hell is not a place of fire and a devil with a tail and horns. But a place of torment because the light of God is gone. To escape this, accept the blood of Jesus Christ! ~*~ |

Thank you hoot, devina and Echo. I can also relate Echo. Guess at one time or another we have all had our own imaginary friend. |

I kept thinking who could this friend be? A silent reminder who is always there? The boy's shadow of course that invites happiness and glee! |

I too could picture the little boy, and his antsy little thoughts racing through his mind...what a great poem.. |
