The silent tears upon my face
Fall like rain in a wordless space.
They melt like caresses upon my skin
And only I feel the biting pain within.

The connection of my heart and my tears
Is a mystery I've yet to figure out through the years.
Why when my heart is breaking do these droplets fall
And to my weary, ever aching eyes they do call.

At times I feel the welcome, cleasing relief
At times my tears cause me just more grief.
An emotion I doubt I'll ever understand
Yet, through it all, I feel God's unfaultering hand.

You write your feelings very well Lorelei. There is a plan even in grief, though I wish I knew what it was.

Though silent tears,
I hear a call,
That beckons unto me.
Come stand with me,
You'll never fall,
My promise unto thee.

Lorelei, hello. I admire how you maintain the message of faith through sorrow. Lovely and well expressed.

Lorelei-
A really touching piece.

When grief is squeezing our hearts,
the tears are wrung out.
We let the teardrops fall,
for in doing so, they dilute our sorrow.

Just a thought or two that I hope
makes you feel better.
Bless your heart.

lil Lorelei

This is a terrific poem - even if I am the reason for it.  Even though I am just a mere man, I still find in myself the capacity to love you more every day.

How heartbreakingly lovely.....

I sing my tearful song which has charms only for me."
