Angel of Tears

There is an angel, yes, I can see one
And her heart is broken, shattered until it's gone
All she knows is how to cry
All she can do is pretend the pain is nothing
But when you look into her eyes
You will see into her helpless soul
And know that she is one of the many
Angel of Tears

With the lightest kiss of a butterfly
With just a tiny smile
You can light up her world
And chase the tears away
If only for a moment
For she is still an angel,
Crying out her pain,
But though the hurt is there
Does that make her any less of an angel?

So whenever you feel the need to cry or scream,
Because of whatever reason that tears at your heart,
Remember this, my beloved friends,
The Angel of Tears will be with you crying
And understanding the pain
She sill keep you company, she will help you calm
For she knows that,
Though it always saddens to know,
We hurt to heal

There is a sadness in her heart
Her wings are broken and slowly mending
And her eyes are red
When she looks at the tear stains
She will cry again, O yes, this is true,
But she knows that,
Sometime, sometime hopefully soon,
Her wings will mend,
Her eyes will dry,
And she will be a pure angel once again

Oh, this poem is lovely!  So sad, but so comforting, all in one! (I enjoy your signature about stars only being visible in the darkness.)

A butterfly kiss to chase the tears away. Now I know!  I enjoyed this touching poem.

Very beautiful...yes, the tears can be kissed away, but they will come again. But with the right love, all will heal in time. Wonderful message behind this one
