"Do You Love Me?"

It’s fourth down and goal-to-go, from the 1,
They're down by three, here’s the snap...

Do you love me? (She whispered in my ear).

Yes, Yes, Score!

But, do you love me any more?

Of course, I love you. I married you, didn’t I?

But, do you really love me still the same?

Yes, now would you leave me alone, and let me watch the game?

But, do you really love me? Do you really, really care?

Would you shut up? And go get me another beer.

Then, I noticed a tear running down her cheek.
I took her in my arms and said,
"Please forgive me dear, you mean the world to me,
And Super Bowl is just like any other week."

"It often comes to me at night
When lights are dim
And thoughts are bright.

As I ponder what to write,
Take pen in hand And with it make
My words appear as no mistake.

Guided by a force unknown,
I create a new And wondrous poem."   ~Gene~

Denise,  Exactly. I wrote it because, when I came into work today, one the guys here said, "My wife wouldn't leave me alone during the entire game." So, he printed out the poem and took it home to his wife tonight.

Miss Abagail Mannering,  There really are a lot of us good guys, you just have to look.

SEA,  Yeah, but if I called it Super Bowl, that would have sucked people in too.
