~*Mom Has Wings*~
~Marge Tindal~

Lullabies sung
to the angel sleeping.
Soon the morning
will come peeping.

May it catch you
in it's light.
But until then
an angel to keep vigil
all through the night.

One soft feathered kiss
upon the brow
of the littlest angel
sleeping now.

When she awakens,
and blinks sleep from her eyes,
do not look with great surprise,
when she relates quite matter-of-factly
'Mommy, I saw an angel
that looked like you, exactly.'

And she was right, Marge.
Moms are just angels, I could allways see my
moms wings. Heck I could even see my
mother-in-laws wings.

Very nice.  (I don't recall my mother ever referring to me as a little angel, but that is a different matter)
Enjoyed the poem.

Thanks Hoot.

Rex-
What a sweet thing to say about your mom.
And even more so about your mom-in-law.
Thanks for your comments.

Mike-
But truth be known ... she thought you were one ... mom's are like that !

Marge:  If only....but all children should know the magic of an angel for a mum and a dad as they are tucked up each night, kissed and watched over..

Bless you!

Sorry guys and gals ...
this one quit giving me e-mail notifications!

Corinne-
Thank you ... and it's very true.

Martie-
What a nice thing to say.

RainbowGirl-
I'm sure angels come in
Dad-look-a-likes too.  This one just
happened to happen to be a mom.
I like to think we're angels watching over little angels.

Balladeer-
Thanks guy.  Somethings just happen ...
and I sure like knowing that they give
you pleasure.

Marie~
I'm so glad you were reminded of
your ~Mom~ ...
Thanks for letting me know.

I think the author has an Angel's heart.

WhiteDove-
Thank you ... I actually wrote this
a few months ago for my friend, Denise,
whose little girl, Felisha, was near death
with the infection of a ruptured appendix.
This mom sat the angel's vigil over her child.  My spirit sat with them both.
Felisha pulled through and was home for
Christmas.

I thank God that I was able to write this poem with joy.
