She lives her life for others
never taking for herself.
She gives all she's got
and never gets in return.
She cries every night
and her tears never show.
She screams at the top of her lungs
but no one ever hears her.
Maybe because they ignore her.
Maybe they just don't care.

She wants to get out
but it seems too late.
She's given so much
and she can't stop now.
She only wants something back
so she can turn her life around.
She lies awake  bed one night
and thinks out a perfect plan.
The decision has been made.
Tonight will be the last.

She leaves one night
when no one's around.
She climbs out her window
and runs as fast as she can.
She knows what she has to do
but she's scared to do it.
She left a note for her parents
incase they awoke.
They wouldn't care she was gone.
They probably wouldn't notice.

She ran for hours
until her heart was ready to explode.
She was even more scared now
because she was so close.
She had the courage
as she forgot her fright.
She walked a little farther
knowing that was the place.
There was the place she would write
And give of herself the last time.

She wrote a few pages
a simple little note.
She signed her name
at the bottom of each page.
She walked a little farther
to the house of her love.
She snuck in through a window
and left the pages on his vanity.
A feeling of sorrow came over her.
There was only one more thing to do.

She walked to the train station
and boarded the next train.
She had no idea where she was going
but she really didn't care.
She made the decision
to leave her life behind.
She'd no longer give to others
instead she'd keep all for herself.
Though her friends will never forget
All the nice things she did for them.

This is very sad and, in some cases, very true. You have described the feelings many people feel very accurately.

Thanks Everyone, for your nice comments...

And Denise...Boy have I heard those words a lot...lol...
But, I'm not going anywhere. Not physically anyway. It's just one of those times that I'm going through a lot, and my mind has kinda decided to take a trip with out my body...if you know what I mean! I've just tried to take some time off from my "hectic" life, and gather my thoughts. No luck yet though, my thoughts are scattered across eternity.
