An angel sits alone,
staring into the clouds

She swears she'll never
spread her wings again-
to reveal the warmth
of her soul therein.

Her tears sprinkle down bitterly
on the people below,
She casts her shadows of sadness-
on their unsuspecting laughter.
~Let her desparity be shown~

Never again
will she feel the happiness
that she felt
once before...

Let the whole world drown in her lonliness...
Of a heart that has been torn.

I really liked this poem! The whole angel idea for the poem was very idealistic! Keep it up!

Devina-
Sad to think of little angel tears.
I like the images you conjured.

devina, its very sad to see this angel so sad. Sometime when this little angel has cried her last tear, she will remember that she can fly. So fly away on these Winter nights, and the moon will be your calming light.

....Oh darkness, darkness of winters night
afraid you are of the Angels light.
Run away you evil gloom,
for its the time of the winter moon.

Parker.

"What" can possibly bring a smile back to an angel ?!  Very Sad!  But a very interesting uncommom thought !

I wonder what angel tears are made of?
I don't think anyone's ever been able to sample one.
This is adorable

This one actually came to me at the old wondering of where rain comes from...it's an obsession of mine, and maybe raindrops are just sad tears of a lonely angel (with a little of my feelings at the moment added in)
Thanks for all your replies..and James-knowing my present mood...I'm glad you sensed a bit of my own despair in this, much love ~D

Someday she'll spread her wings again; she'll reveal her ever-glowing warmth. Her shadows of sadness will become shadows of flight. She'll feel NEW happiness never felt before. Because the people that love her and the angels beside her will mend her broken heart.

so you too, know the sadness of the seraphim...I thought I was alone on that one.
I now feel a little less lonely tonight.  Thank you.

My first thought is "Are you this sad angel?"  You have done wonders with the concept and truly hope if this is you that you soon smile again

I used to be schizophrenic, but we're ok now so don't make me mad cause I'm running out of places to hide the bodies......LOL

Beautiful Devina.  I think there are lots more angels out there if this one continues to disappoint you he will be a fallen angel.  James

Sad to picture an angel crying..   But u painted the picture so well and it was a good short poem.
