Bless you Nan! And I hope you're feeling better real soon! I have to really laugh at how you did this though...so true to life...keep that tissue close and use some cocoa butter on the nose to keep it from hurting!!! <*\\\>< Where there is faith, there is love. Where there is love, there is peace. Where there is peace, there is GOD. Where there is GOD, there is no need. Hallmark |

You guys are all bad influences on me... I write this wonderful sonnet because I'm too sick to do the sestina that I should be working on... I try to go back to bed so I'll feel better.... and you all keep me up... What's wrong with this picture??? It's all Passionate Poets' fault.... |

Ooh Nan.. You aren't alone here..I'm sick too...I think I might have the flu....ick! I hope you and everyone else who's sick here at passions gets well soon! *Krista Knutson* ~*Like a lion, without fear of the howling pack, Like a gust of wind, ne'er trapped in a snare, Like a lotus blossom, ne'er sprinkled by water, Let me, like a unicorn, in solitude roam.*~ Hymn Of Buddha |

Laughing at Mikes reply...I was going to say something similar myself. This is the first of your poems, I think, that I haven't had to get a dictionary out to look up at least one of the word...LOL...now that's bad. But it seems we're speaking the same language right now Hope you get to feeling better soon my friend...you are in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs |

Must say Nan, that I sound as congested as you do, yet I'm guiltily sitting at my computer, typing away. Just get yourself a few boxes of kleenex for the top of your computer hun, Hope you're better soon! Open arms can be the most fragile in the world... |

Wow, Nan! I haven't read much of your poems but, this poem alone shows that you're among the best poets on this board. Brillant poem!! Your lovely poem has inspired to write a sonnet. |

I know the feeling Miss Nanners...I've got one too. In tribute, here's a limerick. Croup Husky throat contradicts me Illness I feel quite acutely I cough and I sneeze When I sleep I do wheeze This body would like to be rid me Alicat As I sit here dimly thinking Watching modem lights a-blinking Churning out poetic hash. Lord, in all Your piety, Help me keep my sanity: Please don't let the modem crash! --Alicat |

May the New Year bring you health and love. Great poem. Very entertaining. Sounds just like me when I get sick. I like to have my little soft fuzzy bear to hold on to also. The only way to know Love, is to Know God. |

I love how you always find a way to make light of your formatting... it just goes to show that some formats are universally applicable, and can bring something to any sort of poem, be it a love sonnet or a poem about having a cold... I've never read a humourous Spenserian sonnet before now... thanks for the experience. Brian "God becomes as we are that we may be as he is." ~William Blake |
