When Time Stands Still...

There is no clock in these momements of serinity,
they go on throughout eternity.
Focus on the rose petal in your room,
the magical creation of the velveteen perfume.
Look just beyond your own backyard,
see the highest majesty, the mountain standing guard.
As night stands still bringing in the moon,
close your eyes and feel your heart swell like a balloon.
The moment you actually heard, your best friend's laughter,
remember how you teared, knowing it wouldn't last forever.
Go inside, gaze into the eyes of innocence,
that is dependent on you for all this child's essence.
Remember the time you felt all the world was fake,
then you escaped and found the quiet rippling of the lake.
Running about just for fun, dancing in the rain,
feeling glory and freedom upon God's refrain.
Laying quietly about to sleep and feeling his hand upon your hair,
yes, you say, I am safe; in the arms of someone who cares.
You lost everything on that miserable day,
then he reached out and touched your hand in that special way.
The final words of one's destiny, and they whisper,
"I love you"
I hope this will always be in your memory.
