When the distance slowly sweeps, And thoughts drift like tumbleweeds, When all I feel is bitter cold, You've been the warmth surrounding me. When enchantment turns dark and bleak, And raging winters freeze my soul, When I fear I've lost myself, From your touch, reassurance grows. The phantom of your shadowed spirit, Stays gently swaying by my side, And even when we tread apart, My love for you will be my guide. When twilight falls within my eyes, And waves of pain pull me down, When my heart lays raw and broken, You gently lift me heaven bound.
