One Kiss Goodbye His heart he left unguarded pain was never his concern, it was all about the lessons loving without love in return. An whimsical teaser, a gentle, patient man, shoring up unstable castles in the sand. No one could really hold him there were those who tried, one woman held his heart, but that too was denied. He showed us all a place we hadn’t seen before, it was there inside of us but he unlocked that door. Kind-hearted yet aloof, a mind you can’t dismiss what I wouldn’t give now for a single goodbye kiss © 2000 Corinne Bailey |

Well done Corinne....Now I can think of some absolutely naughty things I could have responded with and I used control.....Yassee? Yassee how I'm defeating temptation?.....LOL |

Corinne, a very lovely poem, but don't say goodbye, say hello with a kiss xxxxx. Much better for sequels too. Parker |

A beautiful poem! A tender, well worded portrait of someone dearly loved, who somehow couldn't love back. Very sad. |

Denise, thank you, you are always so supportive! Haleyja - Were that it were true, hello in a kiss, this man most of all, I shall always miss. Dear Hoot Owl M, Being alive means lessons, they're ours to learn...Somewhere out there for you is one who loves in return. So, please don't sell that lovely heart, it writes such sweet poetry, you'll love again my friend, this I gaurantee. Rosemary - thank you for the kind words! Balladeer, my dear, thank you so much! And last, (ahem) but never to be least, my new compadre Toe, what you are missing, hon, you may never know! If this thread continues, I may visit the Adult forum, and write something for Toe, yes write something just for him! LOL Corinne |
