They say a yellow rose is for friendship A red rose is for love If i were to send you one It could not be either from above So I hope you know what I mean When I say the color I would send you would be green |

OUCH...green? Not a friend, nor a love interest. interesting. What exactly would "green" represent? Just curious! Perhaps just an over-fertilized dream, eh? WELCOME TO PASSIONS! Yes, welcome. Much said in very few words. You don't mean green with envy, do you? Mike |

Wellcome to passion I'm not sure if i join the discussion Green, the color of calmness and tranquility Green the color of destiny Very interesting piece The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |

Hello Randygene and a big Welcome I too, am curious as to the symbolism of green in your poem? Very nice work and I hope to read more from you.. A soul that writes from the heart and shares it, truly gives a gift extraordinaire! Shannon |

Read your poem again, Randygene...replacing the "green" with the color orange, as you suggested in your e-mail. Completely gives the poem a make-over, and makes it more sweet. Perhaps you should share your theory with the rest. I do so enjoy it more with the thought of a mixture of love and friendship! Well, since yellow and red make green, then this friendship must be filled with love. Enjoyed the poem and welcome to Passions. |

Martie? What did I miss in kindergarten? Really, honestly...I need someone to fill me in. All 30 years of my life, I thought yellow and red makes....ORANGE. What does blue and yellow make, then? Is there some poetic abstract I am missing? |

Welcome, randygene. I know I like at least half of you already. Green means GO to me. I hope it doesn't mean green as in spoiled or unripe. I know, it means "green with envy." ~Gene |

I like it. A new twist on an old problem. Could green of the flower symbolize an immaturity of under developed emotions? Just a thought. |
