Dark Angel's Prayer

spiriting above the mountains high
singing song and prayer he flies
to fight and slay all mortal gloom
Dark Angels prayer, sung for two

his golden sword in sheath by side
and eternities torch, he carries high
the flame of life, he'll pass to you
to light the night of passing gloom

so harken to his prayer of love
a messenger of God, the lord above,
and sing his gift of comfort tonight
Dark Angel's prayer a beacon of Light.

I like how you've written this, Parker. Your word choices, phrasings, allusions...very nicely done.

Thank you Meadowmuse, its sort of a rewrite of the "Winter Moon" somewhere way back in the posts, done from a different perspective.

Dark, It was really you poem to Elizibeth and Anthony that sparked it.. thanks for that, it was a very caring and special poem you wrote.

Thanks Marge, Dark Angel's poem was very good kinling for the fire.
