Why do you hurt me? I love you more than I ever thought possible But I don't know why? I'm not stupid I know the way you treat me is wrong But I still care for you I want to help you I know your hurting inside And I want to make all that pain go away I want to feel safe in your arms but.... I'm terrified of you You hurt me and made me cry You took away so much of my pride You left me feeling so cold and empty inside I love you so much...Why do you keep hurting me??? |

Love and someone needing mothering and sympathy are two different things...by the pain of your poem, I say fly sweetie...life's too short to not be happy!!!HUGS! Open arms can be the most fragile in the world... |

I have to agree with these guys. Love doesn't hurt the way that you describe it. Get out before you get hurt any more. You deserve to be happy!!! |

Hi, CrazyChick. A poem very close to my heart reminding me of the tubs of messed up kids I got to know (and be scared of) when I was very, very young and my mom was a foster parent. Hence why I moved far, far away. Anyway, you did the right thing in leaving. People always gravitate toward the familiar, because, even when it hurts, it's what they know -- and therefore, strangely, it's comforting. That's why so many abused women keep on getting into abusive relationships. Why men usually marry women like their mothers, etc. The only way to break that cycle is to get into therapy. I know it helped me keep away from continuing any chaos in my life. Enjoy life for your own reasons, not some screwed up past that you're living again and again. And by the way, I know my words are strong, but I don't apologize -- I've seen too much, and know that a slap in the face is usually the only way to realize what you're doing to yourself. Because I care, Mike |

I'm glad you left CrazyChick...don't go back...please.....people like this don't usually change....time will heal the hurt and then you will be glad that you did what you did. I'm talking from experience. Don't waste your life. It is too short. I like your poem very much! Denise |
