In the space between moments

A windswept plain quietly unrolls,
Stretching over placid miles.
Thoughts rest upon grassy knolls,
And the glossy rainbows smile.

The sky is a pool of azure air,
Trapping clouds in a net of lace.
Pain melts from anguished stares,
While serenity bathes this place.

The gate to my garden of dreams,
Lays beckoning within your soul.
Love travels upon liquid moonbeams,
Guiding me to the bliss I now know.

The wildflowers begin to bloom,
Within the chambers of my heart.
Spring emerges from the mother's womb,
As weightless hours restart.

A touch of comfort brings the breeze,
Tranquility coming from your love.
The wildflowers paint a vibrant sea,
Nourished by tender rains above.

~*Like a lion, without fear of the howling pack,
Like a gust of wind, ne'er trapped in a snare,
Like a lotus blossom, ne'er sprinkled by water,
Let me, like a unicorn, in solitude roam.*~ Hymn Of Buddha

Beautiful poem Krista, you've painted such a vivid picture of tranquilty.  Another excellent poem!

So it's Krista, I always wondered about the name responsible for such beautiful verse. The first stanza totally drew me into the poem, keep it up!

Krista, I feel as if I've known you since you were a kid and now you're a mature, adult poetess. This is very good!

Oh such vivid imagery...how I'd like to be there right now

I can live with the idea
That we are merely actors
Playing a part
But I do wish
Whoever is writing my script
Would learn to use
A few more Happy Endings

'Deer- I can't look at some of my first poems without chuckling a little.  Thanks for the great comments, I appreciate it.

Hoot- I'd like to be there too.  Thanks for your kindness.

Krista, your language and phrasing choices are excellent here. Imagery abounds, colorful work!
