You say you love me You say you are here for me Where is your love Where are you when I need you As I sit here Fire blazing Stars shining Trees swaying As I look out into this beyond I feel traped and lost Abandoned and alone Wondering how I will survive What is this that I now see It seems to want me to follow Shimmering in starlight I follow her to that place between In the moonlight, shadows dancing You stand waiting for me Your eyes full of love And with that smile on your face I tried to ask a question She put her finger to my lips Then she whispered Just dance with me And so we danced And so we loved Why does it have to be so hard Why do we have to lose those we love Shhhhh... Just dance with me Not my best work but I am experimenting. "Life's greatest mystery isn't the meaning of life. To love and be loved is the meaning of life. Now how to attain those is the greatest mystery of all." |

Scorched Dragon- If this is experimenting ... then your chemistry teacher would be proud. Mysteriously it works for me. Drawn to read it more than once ... experiment on ! ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Thank you both, hoot owl and Marge. I didn't quite know what to expect when I put that phrase, I was to use, in my head. But it looks like it turned out ok. Thanx for the challenge. |

I forgot to add that I look forward to more challenges in the future.< !signature--> "Life's greatest mystery isn't the meaning of life. To love and be loved is the meaning of life. Bravo! I am always amazed with ones who write free verse so very well. The meter in the line Hoot gave so too powerful for me to resist. I wish I could write free verse so wonderfully. |

Marilyn and SEA- This is the first challenge I have met and it seems that I have done better with it that I thought. Thanx for your comments and praise. I don't know if it is free verse(I was never good at english), but I do know I tend to call it, the voice of my heart. "Life's greatest mystery isn't the meaning of life. To love and be loved is the meaning of life. Now how to attain those is the greatest mystery of all." |

Thank you Tara. You are a poet with a beautiful voice too. I visited your web site and read some wonderful poetry that really speaks. Thanx for sharing. If you are just experimenting here...keep it up!! I liked this very much!! I'm glad you are able to find a place of comfort!! Take Care Bridgette Creation of woman from the rib of Man: She was not made from his head to top him; nor out of his feet to be trampled upon by him; but out of his side to be equal with him, under his arm to be protected, and near his heart to be loved." |
