Despair Renewed I was captured, cornered like an animal I was in despair Everything was nothing, I did not care Life was dull, I had no love Just a calling from above Into a dark world I had fallen I could hear their constant calling Everyone was my enemy Even my own self I had nothing No clothes No belongings No wealth But then one day I did awake One true love it did take I was woken by a loving face Whose arms held out I did embrace From that day forward, there was no other world My world now is bright and unspoiled |

Tracie, This is sooo good. As my husband would say, it's deep. I enjoyed reading your poem very much. -SEA |

Ah, the tonic of true love. Well done, I enjoyed this poem very much. May I never be too busy to help another's load, Then I'll be drinking from the saucer 'cause my cup has overflowed. --Author Unknown |
