MY AMAZING JAMIE DAWN

Named for the dawn, the first time I met you the sun came out
Banishing the darkness from my soul, lighting the way forward
Bringing hope and happiness, where before only desolation
Setting my heart aflame, melting my resolve to exist alone

Your beauty breathtaking, your hair spun gold, framing the face of an angel
Your eyes a bottomless blue, piercing the very heart of me
Your smile a sparkling diamond white, showing complete acceptance
Framed by lips of ruby red, so passionate, so soft and yielding

Your voice a salve for my soul, in it I hear nothing but love
The body of a goddess, lush and ripe, the taste of honey
Arms that hold me tight, quieten my fears, a safe refuge
Your back strong and straight, shouldering my troubles

Your love for me, so strong and true, unconditional, without expectations
Showing me to be someone I am proud of, someone worthy of love
Your love erasing the past hurt, bringing me back to the land of the living
Encouraging me to love again, to trust again, making me feel like a man

My love grows every day, consuming my every moment, my every thought
Will still love you as the last star winks out and the whole world is dark and cold
Then my love for you will truly shine, a beacon in the darkness, brilliant and pure
Lighting our way forward, you by my side as you belong. Together forever

Welcome, and may your wish become true for you. A nice piece for your entry. Thank you

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

Darling angel...You know that while I read this that my eyes are shining with tears of joy and laughter. Sweetheart, I long for the power that you have with words. I long to whisper to your heart as you whisper to mine. Not only in your words but in everything that you do and say each day. Forever and a day my darling. I love you Richard Anthony...I do.

**Deep, echoing sigh**

Ah, to be loved thusly, and by a poet besides!  What an entrance -- and what a lovely couple, to have spawned a piece such as this!

Welcome, both of you!

--Kess

Full fathom five thy father lies,
Of his bones are coral made,
Those are pearls that were his eyes;
Nothing of him that doth fade
But doth suffer a sea-change
Into something rich and strange...

Indeed, what an absolutely exquisite love poem!  And yes, it is marvelous to be a poet married to a poet!  I am too, and my heart joins yours in your joy!  Welcome to Passions!
