Sitting in the midst of glow Provided by the fireplace show I knew almost instinctively, "me for you and you for me". I said not a single word But my heart, I knew you heard. Sweetly you said, on bended knee, "I have something for you, Sherry." You knew my love for Chocolate's devine So I thought this gesture not out of line When you looked at me with eyes so heavy And offered me a Little Debbie. Taking it from you, suspecting not a thing I nearly swallowed my own engagement ring! That was the best fudge brownie of my life, For that's when you asked me to be your wife. ~~~ Okay, maybe not the BEST fudge brownie, and certainly not the LAST, as that union is no longer. But memories are what we have to grow on, and in my life 'rewinded', that was a very special time. Hope you enjoyed! |

What a sweet way to propose, and neat way to share the event. Very cute Claire |

Far from twinkie, Deer. At the time, it was very sweet, but unfortunately, the "brownie" became sugar-free. I'm hypoglycemic, so searching for sugar again. "The finest qualities of our nature, like the bloom on fruits, can be preserved only by the most delicate handling. Yet, we do not treat ourselves nor another thus tenderly." ~Henry David Thoreau |

Well that`s a new one. I see a typo there. You meant "Sugar Daddy" didn`t you? [This message has been edited by SnglDad (edited 01-26-2000).] |
