In the Moonlight Shadows Dancing In the moonlight shadows dancing Prancing wild across my bed Visions of the past entrancing Entomb my room, consume my head You in fanciful romancing Moments rationed, passion dared Gloom has strewn the moon's enchanting Ashen shadows, passion shared Entranced was I at your first glancing Slow advancing 'cross the room You danced and took a step perchancing Flower in bloom you would consume Now exhumed, the visions prancing So entrancing is the sight In the moonlight shadows dancing 'Cross my bed in deep of night Elizabeth Santos [This message has been edited by Elizabeth Santos (edited 01-25-2000).] |

Elizabeth, my friend- Your beautiful poem was better than the 'Blue Plate Special' at the diner down the road. (And I didn't have to leave a tip !) You know you're addicted when you'd rather read poetry than eat ! Absolutely enchanting ! ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

This is beautiful, Elizabeth!! Welcome to the 'dancing circle'. Ruth really came up with a great challenge that seems to be sparking many people's creative imaginations! |

Vandana, Thanks for your kind remark and for your lovely e-mail Liz Hoot, Thanks so much, this one was a little slow coming. Marge, I have got to tell you, that is absolutley the finest compliment I have ever had. Just imagine, writing a poem that's better than the "blue plate special" at the local diner. I feel that I am rising in stature as a poet. Thank you so much for such unworthy praise (hehe-you crack me up!) Love ya, Liz Denise, Thank you, but your "dancing" poem was exquisite. I love it Liz [This message has been edited by Elizabeth Santos (edited 01-25-2000).] |

So glad you found time to visit Ruth's "circle"...I will have to edit my first version to include all of the members who've come in since Monday...LOL! Good job, Elizabeth S.! [By the way, I've given you a little nickname - "The Wise Elizabeth" who knows all, sees all, and can read Sy's mind!] Sunshine Look, then, into thine heart, and write ~~~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow |

Liz--I knew you would succumb to this wonderful phrase and come up with something that captured it completely. |

Acutely beautiful, Elizabeth...painful and poignant, exquisitely fashioned. Once again, you've taken my breath with your words... Claire |

Elizabeth: Superb reply "In the moonlight shadows dancing 'Cross my bed in deep of night" Oh my...that line will stay with me.. HUGS Don't ask me where I'm going, just listen when I'm gone and far away you'll hear me singing softly to the dawn. |

Elizabeth, This is poetry as poetry should be. As pure as the foam on the waves at sea. And if I were a shadow upon your bed, I would build you a palace within your head. Dance you forever into the night. And only you could turn on the light. Love Sy |
