We Welcome Bad Boys

We welcome all the bad boys
At Passions open door
They come here acting really tough
We've seen it all before

They start to read our poetry
And shortly they are hooked
Before they have a chance to think
Their Macho goose is cooked

These warriors of their fantasies
Soon shed their tough disguise
And soon it's all that they can do
To type through teary eyes

They turn to soft light feather down
Kitten's fur and puffy pillow
Tender as a new born babe
Delicate as a weeping willow

They leave the drugs, the booze and such
And soon become addicted
To passionate verses, love and mush
Just like we predicted

This is great Liz...and oh so true, and as we all well know this bad boy (above) will crack eventually (if he hasnt already and just pretending to hide it).  Love the poem, thanks for the laugh!!

Just be glad I'm not your child! *evil grin*

Oh, yes..there is something about a Bad Boy that makes us want to tame him..though I'm not sure 'our' Bad Boy (see above) is tameable...hmmmmm....time will tell! Great poem!

Bad Boy...Too Soft?.....Ya better come feel this thing again "boy!".....LOL.....and ya may wanna do a search on some of the "soft" stuff from the archives....even Balladeer has a little "Bad" in him sometimes......Of course, me being the quiet, calm, shy type, I'm usually quite reserved.....but now and then I've misbehaved just a tad...

Toe,I didn`t mean to hurt your feeling`s.
I know you soft guy`s are easly hurt and I`ll try and be a little nicer from here on.
And as for feeling that Teddy Bear that you sleep with, that`s ok I`ll pass.
Im trying to break myself of that habit.
lol....j.k.

I guess some folks may call it a teddy bear....and I know how hard it is to break bad habits.....cuz I ain't even attempted to break mine...and don't worry about hurtin' my feelings....I don't have any....I stay fairly numb.....(you do remember my offer to meet sometime for a beer and a smoke...right?)....

Bad Boy....Tequila's good...I can't handle but one shot though..about "two fingers" worth, (in a number two wash tub)....and I have to chase it with one beer, (some people call it a keg)....I always limit myself when it comes to alcohol...only a couple a night.....(see above)....

Fine poem, Elizabeth. Enjoyed it lots. Seems to me though, that the really good  Bad Boys needn't say much to "prove" it. Sometimes true Badness speaks for itself.

Yeh, Caire, you're right.
Look how fast the "bad boys" came to their own defense.
This poem was directed at Bad Boy, but another one chimes right in. Amazing.
Yes, please do print it as a reminder.

Claire, a little of both, I think
Did I say I didn't like "bad"?

Excellent Elizabeth!  I can see that very little has changed since I was gone. . .

And where do you think I fit in this description?  I like to think that I combine the best of BOTH worlds. . . but I leave it to you (and my fellow poets) to decide. . .

Good Greif Bad Boy & Toerag, why don't you two go arm wrestle and get it over with. I'd whip both your butts at Tequila shots! So there.............

Elizabeth, great poem- very fun! -SEA

We can see right through that bad boy attitude, huh... into that soul that keeps on reading poetry until it rubs of some of that veneer and we find that lovely patina that looks so good.
