*I am resting my quill today. After a very stressful afternoon, my seven year old retreated to his bedroom after school. A few minutes later, he returned with a creative drawing, on that horrid manilla school paper, and a poem attatched. He wanted to cheer "mom" by sharing a poem, as he knows how much I enjoy escaping into this poetry haven. I was very touched by his effort and consideration as to what seems to make me smile these days. Just sharing. Great start for my chip off the ole block. I did not correct his 2nd grade spelling, by the way. Enjoy. ~Sherry "God Bless Amarica" by Drake Amaracans fout and that is how we were made. They are stong and brave. This day we stile have solders that fite in wars so we can be free. We shold thank them and that is the way it shold be. |
