Her soul’s like crystal snowflakes Broken easily amid the dust Shattered from the pleadings ‘You must! You must!’ She wants to dissolve like ice Wants to just to melt away But icy breath of haunting lovers Entreat her yet to stay Trampling her gentle heart Devouring her life’s source All the while, lovers claim ‘I love only you, of course!’ When her spirit is sapped Picked dry and left to die Lovers will ne’er look back Nor do they hear her sigh A melting tear of crystal Lies now beside her cheek Would life have been so bad If she were not so meek. Poet, I really enjoyed this one. I hope that this hasn`t happened to you. This show`s just how fragile love really is. Thank you for sharing this and God Bless. Joel [This message has been edited by SnglDad (edited 01-23-2000).] |

Haunting, and as always, so very well woven. Sunshine Look, then, into thine heart, and write ~~~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow |

Yes, I do believe I have sung this song before ... 'cept for the meek part, of course ... ![]() Well done as usual madam, my heart skipped a quarter-beat. ![]() --Kess Full fathom five thy father lies, Of his bones are coral made, Those are pearls that were his eyes; Nothing of him that doth fade But doth suffer a sea-change Into something rich and strange... --William Shakespeare, from The Tempest |

Hmm, I have a question...what are snowflakes? Oh ooops I think I remember tales about them hehe....This is very beautiful! I am at a loss for words! ~*~ ^i^ ~*~ Love is such a lonely art, and death is but a taste. Minds are merely instruments that often go to waste! ~*~ ^i^ ~*~ |

Once again Sharon, you tug at the strings of a person's heart. Beautifully depressing! ![]() I know! |
