Glasses I wrote this for a Writer’s society exercise. I was studying a pair of glasses lying upside-down on a table. Somebody’s eyes I lie and wait Upside-down I see the world Spatters of mustard Mar my simple beauty Breath and sleeve Everything’s better Below me another I see upside-down But no more feeling Than the black, polished table Time to leave And I fly Sung with practiced grace To rest on the nose Of a familiar face. Tiger Dreams My toy tiger was sitting on a table next to a small box of frosted flakes, so I wondered what my toy was thinking about Tony the Tiger. I sit next to Tony He’s GRRREAT! Why can’t I be like him? I look at my owner Puzzlement on my face She looks up Maybe hearing Then back to her notebook Why can’t I? Who said I couldn’t? The nameless people in China Who stuffed my body And set my face That’s who. The Plaque I saw one of them annoying plaques on the wall. Yay observation. Proudly proclaiming ‘The Honour System’ Letters fade to blurs Eventually becoming Pompous Teacher Torture Never regret |

I really enjoyed this one! ~*~ ^i^ ~*~ Love is such a lonely art, and death is but a taste. Minds are merely instruments that often go to waste! ~*~ ^i^ ~*~ |
