La Luna Dream in Firmament

A big thing
happened to my encompassing
windowed my view
closed out confinement
of house and chose
front lawn
and damp ground
dodged the spreading elm
to watch the sky

whispered wonderment
to cool grass
fingers of the elm
held the firmament

late night
of lace curtains
hop-scotching pattern
mirror
my face moon made
beautiful
orb of light

dream dancing
on moonlit floor
dress that swayed
like grasses in wind
leap  twirl
sparkler of light

windowsill elbows
bleached bones
pointing away

Front seat
parking passion
cityscape love
so new these lips
kissing
a moonly thing

betrayal and mourning
longing light of time
sky rained tears

fixed and forever
moving light
eclipsed by a shadow
encompassed and dreamed

open onto this woman
that thinks
this morning dove
does not in sun gladden
but mourns the passing
of the moon

In the dew of little things,
the heart finds its morning
and is refreshed.
(ee cummings)

For some reason, poems about the moon stir a place inside my soul....lovely

Tonight a complete luner eclipse and its cloudy

Denise--Thankyou for gazing at my view

Ruth--The moon does have a way of stiring the soul.

In the dew of little things,
the heart finds its morning
and is refreshed.

There's only one difference between the moon and your poetry, Martie. The moon can be eclipsed

Through the clear skies
I gazed in wonder at
the eclipsing of
the orb of the
moon in it's
fading red
glory of
light
your
awe
and
mine
beams
in unison
with light
being swept
away for just
one moment in time
and in infinity peeks
filling us with delight

Balladeer--One thing that can eclipse my poetry (well many) and that's your reply.

Marge--Wow!  What a lovely graceful and absolutely beautiful reply!
