Your Hold On Me |

As familiar as a lovers touch you caress my very soul. You desire me to bow to you my submission is your goal. My emotions all belong to you my eyes cry at your command. Your a massive presence in my life and you crush me with your hand. Recognize the hold you have on me and can call you by your name. Though I do not tell my friends your here to admit it brings me shame. I will overcome your hold on me And will fight you come what may. For there’s a better day tomorrow because I survived today. With perseverance even the snail reached the Ark. |

Sometimes the hold is only strong because we allow it or because it's comfortable, great poem Lucie!!! Open arms can be the most fragile in the world... |

I have to agree with Devina on this! It's a fascinating subject, though, sometimes desire to be loved overules our heads and what we know is right. Nice poem! Corinne |

This is powerful..some kind of addiction thing here..not a person though, I don't think...what holds you so tightly, Lucie? |

I agree with DeVine. It sounds like an addiction you are fighting. If so, I wish you the best. WE'VE MISSED YOU!!!!! |

Sometimes afflictions can be much more difficult to overcome than addictions.... You say a great deal here, Lucie... |
