Tears from Nobody

As I close my eyes, and flip off the light,
I wish you could be in my arms tonight.
I'd hold you close, close to my heart,
I'd never let go, we would never part.
My heart aches, and my eyes fill with tears.
As I think back on all those years.
All the pain I've been through.
All the pain that you never knew.
Pain that will never exist to you.
I can't hold it in, they just keep flowing.
You'll never know what love I have for you.
All the love, I'll never stop showing.
The tears sting, as they flow down my cheek.
I pray to God, only to remain weak.
I ask him why must it hurt so much.
And in my dreams he tells me,
"Son, because you love her such."
I'm so alone, I have nowhere to go,
I don't know what to do.
When I close my eyes, there you are.
God, if only you knew.
How much I want to be with you.
Admiring your smile.
More perfect than paradise, where the ocean meets the sand.
Your beautiful eyes match the sky,
So magnificent, so grand.
Your soft golden hair,
More gorgeous than the evening sunset.
You amazed me beyond my imagination,
On that wonderful day our hearts met.
Princess, please don't leave me.
My heart may never mend.
If you say no,
The pain will never end.

Sometimes I think this is one of the best benifits of writing poetry, to be able to express our pain like this.
