Something About Amor by ©Richard Budig 2000 Chilly night muffled in fog the kind where, in your mind, you hear a sax crying into the mist as you drift between light puddles falling from old iron street lamps and from way up there in the dark coming from a dimly lit window a female voice sings lilting French something about ami and amor and strangely, you feel better knowing yours isn’t the only heart going home alone in the dark |

I like this, very nice Richard! What comes from the heart goes to the heart. Samuel Coleridge |

This one created a sad but hopeful feeling within me. The sax reference was great too. Don't gain my affections and cover my eyes. In blindness I will only swing harder. |

Excellent imagery...very nicely written Richard. I could see this so clearly in my mind At the touch of love, everyone becomes a poet. ~Plato |

Reminded me of Paul Newman and Sidney Poitier in PARIS BLUES. Very vivid portrayal, Richard. |
