My children grow as fast as weeds, Each day I take care of their needs. I watch them play and watch them fight, I watch them as they fly high thier kites. When they look up into my face, They see it all with a touch of grace. Our love shines through with more then words. It flies on wings just like the birds. To give them things straight from the heart, It's how a parent does depart. Their wisdom and their teaching well, All I can say is time will tell. If you've held back your love most true, There something I should say to you. It's not too late you still have time, Show your love, give it through rhyme. It is never too late to sit down and talk to your kids. Tell them that you have made mistakes but the one thing that stands strong and will never fail is your love for them. If they need to test what you say, let them and show them that it is true. Just love them Dad...Just love them. |

Two great poems, Joel and Marilyn! And yes, I agree, it is never too late to show and tell someone that you love them! |

It's never too late to tell your kids that you love them. They will test the waters but you just need to brace yourself for it and stand strong. They will love you for it. Poetry~ Words falling on paper, painting a dream. Shawna R. Holder Boise, Idaho |
