they say it helps to write

they say it helps if you can word the problem
carefully, letter by letter dissecting the pain,
alphabetizing the reasons for the tears
so that it makes perfect sense and
the reader can so clearly see
the necessity
to hurt like you have never hurt before
or will again
and why the sunglasses are needed
to hide the river of tears
and shade the haunting desire to
just give in and follow the river down
to the sea
...and they say writing helps?
but you
taught me
other uses for the alphabet
and I don't want to use it now to explain
why I cry
this is not your fault you know?
that I love you.
that you are incredible.
that you are the man I have always
dreamed of
always wanted to hold...
so caring and passionate
and so not mine.
it is not my fault either
that I am not what you need.
that I am not the woman of your dreams
that I don't spin your desires
and inspire your rockets to launch...
I am just me

Wonderfull, It was like I was reading my own voice. Its not often, I can relate so well with what someone else has to say. You put your feelings into words so well...Bravo...if I wore a hat, I would take it off, and then put it back on, and take it off agian in honor of that piece...
