It’s Cold In Pennsylvania

It’s cold in Pennsylvania
Here, I sit alone
Thinking of this love of ours
And how it’s quickly grown

The wind outside the window
Is blowing fierce and strong
The night is dark and lonely
And with out you, oh, so long

It’s cold In Pennsylvania
You're so many miles away
Yet, it seems were getting closer
Each day by passing day

The winter night surrounds me
Yet, there’s spring down in my soul
Your love, it has revived me
Completes me, makes me whole

It’s cold in Pennsylvania
As I think of you tonight
Longing for your gentle touch
To my heart, it gives flight

I gaze out on the snowy ground
And feel the night air’s chill
Knowing that we’ll be together
If there’s a way or will

It’s cold in Pennsylvania
Darling, please fulfill my wishes
Come wrap me in your tender love
And cover me with kisses

This is lovely, Ruth! Nothing like the warmth of love to take away the chill!

(Are you feeling any better today, Ruth?)

I'm sitting here in Canada lonely is the night
I wonder who this poem is for....could it be...First Night
Flowing words I read
Like the swift owl's wing indeed
I wonder could it be
Is she the one, or he the one for she?
Through frosty nights I hear the call
What else should an Owl do thats a gal
Passion I can read and see
Keep writing such good poetry

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

Honey, I know its cold,
And this a tad bit bold.
But never will you be,
So far that you can't see.
That in my arms of love,
Your sheltered as a dove.
Alone you'll never be,
Because you hold the key.
The key to my heart,
Where I can't depart.

No matter time or space,
I will be,

just because you,....

You loved me.

Missing you....is missing me.

I love you Ruth

Hoot-

Baby, it's cold OUTSIDE !
Where love lives ...
it's always just the right temperature.
Sounds like the temperature is
on the rise in a couple of hearts.
Gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling !

Hoot,
My feet are freezing, my fingers are cold, the wind is blowing, my azaleas look dead,
my mail is still out in the mailbox, my car won't start, it's too cold to take down my Christmas lights, there's no food in the house, the fire just went out, but honey, your poem warmed everything up

I've been trying to get there dear? But I lost your address at the airport? I checked for your number in the phone book, I found a Harvey Owl, a Night Owl, and a Barn Owl...but there's not a single "Hoot" in Pennsylvania?.....Thanks for the sweet thoughts though hoot?...Oh, ya mean it wasn't meant for me?......Surely you jest?.....Very nicely done.....What's it like to be able to write poetry anyway?

The love of my life hails from a small town in Pennsylvania - Charleroi?  I can now equate this state with at least 2 beautiful people.  I'm feeling cold here in Wisconsin and in the middle of a snow storm.  Thanks for warming things up with your poem.

my body starts to chill
and yet my heart's a fire
with my new found lovers will

its cold here in the city
my senses start to fade
and still i know, that even snow
cant change these dreams ive made
