Little remains now, The rest was spent in one careless summer, It is enough to put in to a song, And shall sing to you, Whispering to you About the past left behind in the dark, To risk in a game one evening, and ulterly lose, who laugh as they run, And never look back, Who blossom in a hour of unreasoning delight, If you love me dearly, I adore your love, Best love I gave to you, you'll notice that the careless summer'll soon go away, Not knowing how time rolls time by, The rest was spent in one careless summer, what matters It If the hours pass and the sun sets, If the way is through, come and hold my hand , you can know , how truely is your love to me, Careless summer'll go quiclky, [This message has been edited by vandana (edited 01-24-2000).] |

Haven't we all had "Careless Summers". The best or worst is in the remembering. Your poem caused me to remember. Lessons to be learned! Well done! DH |

Yep! brought back some memories for me as well! Thanks, Vandana! Denise And slight is the sting of his trouble Whose winnings are less than his worth; For he who is honest is noble, Whatever his fortunes or birth.~~~Alice Cary, ~Nobility~ |
