An alluring trace Of lightly misted Alvaron Unfolding gently Blossoming with silver sighs. The sensuous fragrance Of lotus fruit Wafts upon silken melody Offering intoxicated dreams. The keeper of the skies Holds within his foggy soul The great expanse Of my ancient reverie. He throws the gate open At my slightest desire To simply fall Into a flight of fancy. My softly glimmering isle Unrolls before me Blanketed in golden wishes And sprayed with faerie breath. A rainbow sight in disarray Brushed with long treaded paths And lightly patterned With spicy memories. Tanned arms of life Entwined with emerald leaves Reach upward to caress The pale puffs of cloud. Sunlight heavily rains Upon Alvaron's rolling green Offering a moment of solace And perhaps eternal refuge. *Krista Knutson* ~*Like a lion, without fear of the howling pack, Like a gust of wind, ne'er trapped in a snare, Like a lotus blossom, ne'er sprinkled by water, Let me, like a unicorn, in solitude roam.*~ Hymn Of Buddha |

Alwye, What a beautiful fantasy world in the making. At first when I saw the title, I thought "perhaps this is related to Avalon?"... it sure is. Avalon is the supposed isle where King Arthur of the Arthurian legends was taken by the Lady of the Lake as he was dying. Good one, there! (looks like you like mythology just as much as I do, perhaps??) |

Beautiful poem as always, my friend. I too also immediately thought "Avalon" upon seeing this poem, though I don't know as much as Sir Artur Hawkwing (That's such a great series of books!). You've described even that magical isle incredibly. Another amazing piece to add to your name, excellent my friend. In flames I shall not be consumed, but reborn. -- Abrahm Simons |

Yes, I was actually thinking of Avalon when I wrote this, but seeing how I don't know much about the stories, I didn't want to be innacurate in my portrayal. So, I changed the name a bit and created my own little fantasy isle. Thank you all for your kindness, it is much appreciated.
