The clouds began to churn. The wind pushed the palm trees back. A bolt of lightening flashed, And the tree before me snapped. The wind was loudly whisteling Its strange, familiar song. Thunder shook the earth- Staying far too long. The rain began to fall Like needles from the sky. It stung my back and shoulders, And I fought the urge to cry. I thought I wouldn’t make it- But as quickly as it came, It left me standing there, Ending its evil game. One touch of nature makes the whole world kin. -William Shakespeare |
