MY STOLEN PEN

I recall words so well professed,
Just five short months ago.
None would know this heart henceforth
Lest never would it show.

I felt it poetic license,
If I ever loved again,
My heart simply would not commence,
She'd "Just have to steal my pen."

Now, maybe arrogance provoked
The forthcoming replies.
I saw passion sweetly invoked,
She blushed, and batting eyes.

She made a trip to Wal-Mart,
To buy a "like" Paper*Mate.
Thus was this beauty ever smart,
Her writings were first-rate.

I was to be spanked I was told,
If I stopped writing at all.
Oh man was this Femme ever bold,
I had no choice at all.

She said she wouldn't steal my pen,
Just switch hers for a night.
She waited till I slept and then
Filled my dreams with delight.

I read her words, very next day,
Both head and heart atwirl.
And knew I had to find a way,
To make this gal my girl.

Such is the way our path did start,
Wherein my love was won.
My pen is yours, Gen, as my heart,
Both have been from day one.

Michael - you have a great way of coming into a subject from an unusual slant.  Just a word of advice, though - unless you give me all your great ideas, little ol' Femme is gonna hear all about this here Gen girl.  And you KNOW Femme is not to be trifled with.  You have my e-mail and.... what's that?  Gen IS Femme???  She is???  oh.... never mind... lol

Oh yes..... I do recall... There we all were... playing scrabble till all hours.. sitting around the table in Washington DC - laughing hysterically.... and there was Michael... his nose in the computer (thanks to some insane person having had it in her suitcase)... anxiously awaiting the next email from his new "friend".... It was indeed a sight....

Such a wonderful love affair
That some have seen unfold
Our beautiful Lady Femme
Greeting her Knight so bold

It started out so innocently
Two poets with such heart
Finding each other here at Passions
And that was just the start

We've watched each day to see the words
That their hearts inspire
Always filled with so much love
And passionate desire

We wish for you all the happiest of
things
That only true love can create
We're hoping for the exchange of rings
And for you to set the date!

Beautiful poem Michael....

Even the rose is envious of you-
dew wrapped around your hot-house heart.

Great poem Michael!

In the dew of little things,
the heart finds its morning
and is refreshed.

Such a romantic beginning and may the romance continue forever...James

Concerning the Birth of Love..
Here is what happens in the soul.....
1.  Admiration.
2.  You think, "How delightful it would be to kiss her, to be kissed by her," and so on...
3.  Hope.   You observe her perfections.
4.  Love is born.

Oh wow Michael...I can't believe some of the wonderful replies you've gotten on this!  LOL
LhnJhn said what I've been trying to say about you for such a long time!  You do have such an unusual way of coming into the storyline from a "slant".....hehe  Tis true, which is why I love your work!  Way to go LhnJhn for finally helping me realize what I was wanting to say!  LOL   And I'm laughing at Nan's story about scrabble....was it true?  Was your nose in the computer waiting for me, your new friend ??  (blushing)     How sweet, I never knew!  hehe  The last stanza was my favorite...it just kept getting better and better the more I read!  This truly made me blush and laugh!  You are remarkable at remembering babe....

Michael, You got Pepper to write a lovely verse for you! How did you do it? Your poem must have been very special for Pepper to pull out her poet's pen, and it was, very special. Enjoyed reading it.

Little did you know when your efforts you did pen,
that Pepper would come out to play with poetry again;
Imagination is three-fold, takes luck and wit and dare;
and Michael, now you know, how many of us care!

Good job, Sir!
