                YOU SLIPPED AWAY.

            BY STEPHEN J

i had you in my arms,
but you slipped away.

i had you in my reach,
but you took a step back.

you were on the top of a hill,
but the path was to steep.

you were at the bottom of the ocean,
but i couldnt swim that deep.

i had you in my arms,
but you slipped away.

I enjoyed your poem very much, i remember how it feels to have somthing so sure, and you dont realize how much you want it until its gone. That feeling of regret can eat someone up. Welcome to passions and i will enjoy reading your future posts.

I liked this poem Stephen.   This happens to me quite a bit.  I'm going to keep trying til I find one that sticks.   James
