Serenade

I heard you
singing last night,
sweet sojourner.
Your voice
followed
into my sleep.
It swirled just above
my dreaming shape,
stayed close
as I slept,
silently.

When I am
alone in my soul,
sweet sojourner,
slipping soundlessly
from shadows
surreal...
your voice will
still my uneven
passage,
my hesitant steps,
as I heal.

Dear LadyClaire

I can hear the song
Need I say more
Thank you

I too have been enjoying your poetry Claire and the replies that you make to other's poetry is wonderful.  This is a sweet and sensitive poem.

Kind of a wistful beauty this posesses, I believe...truly lovely work, Claire.
