Dear Friends,
Please hold my husband Rodger up in your prayers at this time. He was driving home from work last night and slid on a patch of black ice and flipped his pick-up truck over onto its hood. He had several bleeding lacerations on his head at the sceen but a CT scan also showed a small bleed on the brain. He was transfered to the regional trauma center with the diagnosis of tramatic brain injury and is currently in ICU. They are repeating the CT scan this morning and according to his nurse ( not me this time ) he is coherant and talking and neuro checks are okay. I have been laid out flat with the flu since Thursday and have not even been able to go to see him yet...talk about hard. I got clearance from ICU for a short visit this afternoon and my son will take me to see him there ( 1 1/2 hour drive one way ). So please keep us both in your prayers.
Ruth

Ruth I am  holding you and Rodger in my prayers and having gone through a similar incident and just getting over the flu myself I know how hard this is. Please take care of yourself. The flu and everything else can run you down.

Ruth,
It just comes from nowhere when we least expect it. I hope that your courage remains strong and that you get well quickly so you can be the support you want to be for your husband. I pray he recovers quickly and that you can be together soon.

Oh dear Ruth, that must have been terrible for you, not being able to go there at once.
Good thing though that his neuro checks are oke. Hope it all will turn out not as bad as it sounds. I'll keep you and him in my thoughts.

Ruth - My prayers are with you - You know that, my dear friend.

I was hoping to convince you to find your way to Liz's house this weekend, as I'll be visiting - That sounds unlikely, eh?

We'll both be sending love & hugs your way..

Ruth, I don't even have the words to tell you how many prayers are going down there to you and Roger.  Here's to a very quick recovery, and getting him back on his feet soon.  Hang in there Ruth, and know we are all here for you.

Dear friends,
Thank you for all the prayers. Rodger was discharged from the hospital ( actually discharged right out of ICU to home ). The repeat CT scan showed no further bleeding then the inital two small areas that the neurologist feels should reabsorb without problems. He is banged up and bruised pretty good and has some stitches in his head but after seeing the truck we feel very fortunate. He follows up with the neurologist in 2 weeks and is cleared to return to work on Thursday. Now if I can just shake this flu and get back to work myself
Thank you all for your circle of prayer.
Hugs
Ruth

It is good to here his health is improving and things are not as severe as they very well could have been.  I can't imagine how hard it must have been for you to stay away from the hospital during your illness!  That must have been a Double Whammy!  My continued thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery for both you and the Mr.

My gosh! ~ What an ordeal for your husband ~ and you! Sorry that I hadn't read your post earlier. I just now went looking to see if you had posted an update and was relieved that your husband is going to be alright. I pray (now I'm praying for him! ) that he passes his check-up with the neuologist with flying colours!

Take care of yourself too, Sweetie!

Loving healing hugs for each of you!

update

Just to let everyone know. My husband was cleared with the neurologist and is back to normal and has no ill effects save for a few small scars on his forehead. We feel so blessed that he rolled and totaled his truck and walked away from that accident. His gardian angels were with him that day for sure. Thank you all for your prayers and kind thoughts
