This message was posted today on Michael Mack's Facebook page by his brother:

Michael Mack's brother, Terry Kohler, has posted the following: "was in to let you know about Mike Mack --- he's in the hospital in Florida cancer in the Lungs, not doing too good. I ask him if I should put it on Facebook he said yes so I'll let you. I'm not sure how to go about it." ----- So, I, Cheryl Kohler Tracy, am posting Terry Kohler's message here on Michael's page for them both.

I am their Second Cousin through my father, Jim Kohler. We all are praying for Michael's health, and we continue to pray for Terry Kohler who is recovering from a stroke last year.

I am so sorry to be sharing this news, but have faith that Michael is a strong, good hearted, and determined man who has the will and the stamina to beat this. We all stand with you Michael, cheering you on with our good wishes, prayers, and love, to fight this and win!

I know how loved and revered our Balladeer is so if you wish to send him your love and good wishes, either leave them here, and one of us will make sure he gets them, or post them on his Facebook page where the initial announcement was placed. Here is the link to his page:

Good Morning all,
If you wish to send Michael Mack your wishes in the form of a card, or poster, here is where you can send them: Bruce W Carter VA Medical Center, Room B1128, 1201 NW 16th Street, Maimi, Florida, 33125. It is always nice to receive hand-written cards, with prayers and messages of hope from your friends. I had asked Susan Caldwell for help with finding the closest hospital to where our "Deer" Michael lived, and through her friends in the military she located where he might be, and called there for us all. If you wish to call him, here is the phone number to reach him: 305-575-7636. However, I just called, and there was no answer as perhaps he is out for tests, or sleeping.

UPDATE: Michael has been transferred to a Rehab Center now, but his brother Terry will let me know where that is so we can make sure his cards and notes reach him at his new location. In the meantime we can all continue to send our healing thoughts and prayers to Michael. Thank you.

I received this from Michael's brother Terry in a Facebook message:

"Hi Sharon Mike still at the Va is not doing very well they might put a feeding tube in him that might not be the best idea I'll keep you posted."

Just hoping today is an easy one for our beloved Balladeer.

Elizabeth, Michael's daughter, told me today Michael has both lung, and bone cancer. Keep him in your prayers, please.
