Ruth Kephart one of our long time poets, goes to Haiti once or twice a year to volunteer and try to make their lifes a little better. She is trying to raise money to take as many pair of "Shoes that Grow" to the extremely needy children of Haiti. Anyone in Passions In Poetry that can help her reach her goal, please do. Bless her, and you for helping.

Here is Ruth statement on Facebook and a link to the page where fellow poets can help her out:

"Our goal for our November 2016 Mission trip to Haiti is to take 100 pair of the Shoe that Grows with us to distribute to needy children in the rural, Borel, area of Haiti. This shoe grows 5 sizes and can last up to 5 years! If we purchase 100+ pair our cost is $15/pair plus shipping. Please consider sponsoring this worthwhile project. We'd love to be able to take even more than 10 pair along. The need for shoes is far greater then any number we can purchase. No donation is too small."

They will also issue you a tax receipt
