Watching the news, I saw there was tornado activity that hit north of Oklahoma City today. Steve and Sue....are you ok? If there are other OK poets I missed, let us know you are allright. |

Steve, I saw your reply on my health update, so guess you are OK. Then I noticed your funny new post in Open. Now, Sue Graves, please check in when you can. |

I'm here. The first touchdown missed me by about 3-4 miles. The big damage was about 12 mile north. Not even close enough to send us to the bathtub. The dog did have to sleep with the us though. |

Pete, I am glad that you are okay. That sounds a little too close for comfort for me - the reason I replied though is the thought of your dog. You made me smile. If it is anythig like mine, it's hard to rest with a trembling mass of jello. Mine are definitely not all that Lion-hearted. A |

Thank you Kacy, for your kind concern for others (as usual, of course), despite it being the day after chemo! I am glad everyone, so far, is all right. I am glad you let your dogaloggy sleep with you, Pete. Give him/her a big South African-Owl hug, pat and kiss from me. Owl |

Thank you Pete, for checking in and I'm so happy to read you are safe! So sorry that I forgot you live in Oklahoma. As extended 'family' it's always comforting to find out our friends are safe! |

Thanks, Pete. We got hit last night not with a tornado, but several LONG minutes of pea-sized hail that came across very much like a rainstorm...only it was a hailstorm! Normally our hailstorms last from long seconds to just a few minutes...this went on and on and on! There was still hail in the rafters this morning before I left for work. I'm glad you were SAFE!!! |

Hi all, one of the tornados that came through here yesterday blew down the basketball goal at our house but did not damage the house itself. We own an acreage about 1/4 mile away that did get hit. Several large trees were blown down, my fishing boat was thrown out into the woods, and several ornamental structures and bird feeders took flight. Fortunately it did not hit my metal workshop or pickup (I don't know how it missed them). The wind fish were dancing a real jig. We were very blessed that there was no major damage, just a lot of cleanup and chain sawing to be done. Thanks for checking on us. Take care and Have fun. Steve |

I got a personal mail from Sue this early morning, but she didn't write anything about the hurricane. She must have written it on the evening of the 10th. Hope she's ok. Like scattered leaves...my words will flow |

Kacy's note above said Sue is fine, Titia. That's the good news! |

I think Sue is on the south side of OK City. The tornado came from the southwest and hit the far northwest side. She should be fine. |

Oh gee, I'm so sorry! I didn't even think about coming in here. I was at work at a hospital on the north side at the time the tornados hit. The one I heard about, hit in Mustang, which is just west of me. But, it didn't hit me. The hospital had their precautions. So, we all prepared for that. There was alot of rain on my way home from work at 6 p.m. So much, that it was hard for me to see to drive home. But, I made it alright. I live in the S.W. part of the city. I am so sorry I didn't think to check in here. I promise, I will from now on. Please forgive me! I really dread this time of year. With the kind of work I do, there is no telling where I may be, when tornados hit. But, I will remember the next time to check in here. Right now, it looks like I will be working at this hospital for a month or two. Maybe longer. I guess a brick building is a safer place to be, than in my house. I didn't know there were two other poets from Oklahoma. I am glad you two are alright. |
