Today is our beautiful Suthern's Birthday. Our darling Suthern has had a very difficult time of late, what with hurricanes, flooding and losing her home it has been a terrible and wretched time for her. I am sure that you all will join with me in wishing her a truly magical birthday. Hopefully things are getting back to normal. Beloved Suthern Love you always forget you never Mushy Some people glow with an inner light Their faces shine, their eyes are bright Having them there within your heart You know whether close or apart You'll always know the touch of true I know because that one is you You are a light and ethereal breeze A wave that travels across the seas Your eyes speak of mysteries, and yet They hold the truth that I won't forget You speak and I know when and where I listen and I am taken there Happy birthday beloved one I am blessed by your eternal sun Marsha Tomorrow is another day I don't know what it holds |

Oh, my dear friend... You do know how to wipe this "tough ole bird" mask right off my face, don't you? *S* What a beautiful gift!!! Thank you very much for remembering me... I am SO much hoping this year will be a better one. *S* It sure started well... I spent my birthday with my sister and then brought the kitties home. I took vacation yesterday to help them settle in a bit more... they've been through a lot, too. I felt like I had 10 feet for a while because Kate and Colin made every step I made... they weren't letting me out of their sight! LOL And even though it's still a cardboard jungle, it's starting to feel more like home now that they're there with me. *S* You are a treasure, sweet lady... thank you! Thank you all for your beautiful comments and wishes - I appreciate every one of you! *S* |

Oh, Ruth, I am SO glad that you were with the kitties (and your sister, of course!) on your birthday and that you BROUGHT THEM HOME!!!! What an absolute delight for all 3 of you! If your birthday is exactly on 1 November, you share a birthday with my beloved horse, Flicka. He would have been 44 on the 1st, if he hadn't been in Heaven for the last 6½ years, as I said in the thread I put on Announcements. Marsha, that was a very lovely birthday greeting for our Sweet Suthern One. Oh, dear! I missed Our Southern Gal's BD! On second thought, suthern, please consider my heartfelt birthday wishes, as me getting a jumpstart on wishing you "Happy Birthday" for your next one! Trick or treat! I didn't forget your birthday. Well not on my November 1 anyway but I don't know where to send your gift. Let me know and I'll whiz it off faster than you can say Jack Sprat, or Jack Robinson, or Jack in the beanstalk by the time you get Jack of all the Jacks you present should be there. In the meantime here's a pseudo poem. Suthern lady don't you pout though you maybe drowned and out your kittie kats will see you through and show how much thay love you too But be careful this we beg Don't you trip and break a leg. They say that bad things come in threes a flood, no house and friends like these But I will try to make amends if you say we'll still be friends I'll send you lots of cake and stuff until you say enough, enough! For I've heard cake just can't be beaten to build a house that won't be eaten. and that's not all you'll get your kicks, the cakes I make can act as bricks.
