Geez, Balladeer that was my question exactly.  What the heck is UNO if not a card game, and why would you need to orientation anyway?

I am with Balladeer and Mysteria - I was thinking "ooookay".  

But, I do have a paper bag for you to breathe into, Karen.  I think he should play Pinochle myself, but maybe I am biased.

I'm not really sure how it went...

they all looked a little shell-shocked when they got back, and I suspect we are having a bit of a family anxiety attack.

Ali, University of New Orleans. They happen to have a great engineering program there.

Too bad my son isn't interested in that...er, yet.

It's still too soon to know just what he's interested in and I told him so before he left. (I, m'self switched majors so often they nicknamed me "Hotlips"! )

We'll just have to wait and see how the cards play out, eh?
