As many of you know, my Mom recently passed away on June 23, and today (July 27, 2006), my Dad has joined her. These past few weeks have been estremely emotional for me and the rest of our family. It is, however, somewhat comforting to know that Romeo has joined his Juliet and that they are in the loving arms of God ~ and each other. Thank you for all the compassionate emails and for the loving responses to Owl's post requesting prayers for me and my parents. Blessings of love and joy to you all, Love & Eternal Light, Linda EA |

Well dear lady. You have prayers from my heart on your behalf. I have lost my dad and still enjoy the pleasure of my mom's presence. So I don't totally understand but have enough experience to sympathize. It seems you have found peace of mind I pray you have the strength and courage to carry on. It sounded as though your father longed to be with your mom, so you can rejoice in that part. Yet losing both parents in such a short time, has to be very traumatic. My heart goes out to you and yours. May God richly bless you with the fond memories to ease your heartache. Rae |

Dearest Linda The tears are coursing down my cheeks so that I can hardly see what I am typing. I know that the loss is so very, very much more heart-wrenching for you and so many implications of it are flooding through my mind at the moment that I, who understand your loss and simultaneously don't, find it unbearable. My prayers go out to you and your family for this very difficult time. I am happy for your parents that they are together, and admire you so very much that you can put them first in your unbelievable grief. My dear, treasured pipsters, my tears of sorrow are mixed with tears of gratitude for your out-pouring of love. Words cannot adequately express how you have all touched me with your compassion and kindness. I am also filled with a serene sense of peace that my parents are reunited in The Beyond from whence they came. The beauty on their insides matched the beauty of their outsides. I was proud to be their first-born ~ their "Love Child". Since their mid-teens, they have been inseparable ~ and experienced a deep, abiding love and respect for one another. They were bright, articulate, accomplishe, talented, generous and highly spirited people who loved their children, nature and their fellow man. To know them was to love them. To be in their presence was to raise one's own vibration. My sister, brother, and I are experiencing an extreme sense of loss, however, we are so deeply appreciative to have been blessed with parents such as they were. I read each and every one of your compassionate ~ and eloquent ~ responses to the news of my parents' passings. You are all heart and soul and that is what makes you the fine poets that you are. Last evening, my family encouraged me to attend my monthly open-mike poetry gathering. I recited 8 poems ~ one of which was my most recent post "His Rose ~ Her Thyme". The love and support that I received, was almost over-whelming. One lady, a Reiki Master, came over and sat with me all evening with her loving hand on my back ~ sending healing energy into all aspects of my being. She also gave me her card and offered to give me a full treatment free of charge. Another woman offered to have me over for a weekend so that she could pamper me. I barely even know these two blessed people! I am now pleased that I was encouraged to attend Poetry Night. Poets are the sort of people that one needs to be around when one is in need of loving support and understanding. Thank you all for being you! ~ and for being the poets that you are!
