I want to thank all of you who have been emailing me about your concerns for my well-fare. I also appreciate all the caring that you have displayed to iliana's pleaful post for prayers for me. Each one makes a difference. I am relieved to tell you that my open heart surgery in 2004 seems to have been a success and I have not suffereded complications from that. Today I have different battles at hand. I have been on the front lines of many physical battles for almost two weeks now. I have been having hemorrhages in both eyes and am presently going through a series of laser surgeries. My optic nerves are also under "attack"! Losing one's vision is a terrifying experience. I'm hopeful that I will regain some of the vision that I have just lost and that all these problems can be rectified. There is so much that I still want to see on God's green earth!  All my systems have gone out of whack and now my kidneys are shutting down. I am praying with all my might that I will not have to go on dialysis like my father is. To add some more crock to the pot, my diabetes which has been well-controlled until all this started happening, has gone WILD! ~ and now I'm on insulin. I'm in and out of hospital and I'm not a very happy camper. But one thing that I do know, that whenever I have been challenged in my life ~ I always end back up on my feet and with the sun shining even more brightly when I come out the other end of the tunnel! I am filled with more pharmaceuticals than a drug store. I keep meditating to try and get my blood pressure down because when it hits a certain point, the weak vessels (the ones my eyes grew when they weren't getting enough oxygen prior to my heart surgery) begin to leak and rupture. My liver is now under a tremendous amount of stress due to all this overload. I am so weak I can barely stand, but I KNOW that this too shall pass! I hope this explains some of what I am going through at the present time and I welcome your continued prayers and support! As Arnold Schwartzenegger would say, "I'll be back!" Love you all! As you have been a friend to each of US... Linda, As I read through your post, I felt a very strong awakening... and ok, so I'm going to sound wierd to a few, but not at all to many... You do have some very special, wonderful presences around, Linda.... and they are all healing.... So yes, for those who believe in prayer, please, give it your best shot...and for those who believe in candles, or well wishes, or whatever, give that your best shot, too.... because it all counts. Linda, we are here with you. All of us. and please, get second and third opinions from your physicians. Someone has to have an answer for all this craziness. Keeping you close in prayer, Linda. |

Linda! You deserve a break today. I have experienced bleeding in only one eye and am legally blind in that eye now. But my scheduled open heart surgery was canceled on an assumption to be done a few years from now. But I must say I have no clue what it is like to deal the barage of things confronting you. I pray you find strength, courage, hope and healing. But mostly I pray you have peace. |

There is definitely power in pip prayers. I can feel them working! I am deeply touched by the out-pouring of healing love from all of you! Each reply has had a special meaning for me. My vision and my kidneys are improving and I am now off the insulin!!! I'm crossing my "wings" that all will continue to improve. Actually, I know they will!
