Saluting with misty eyes

0 posted 2005-08-18 10:09 PM

At the request of a publishing house (a REAL one, not a vanity press) I have just submitted my manuscript for consideration. I am hereby pleading with my fellow Pipsters to pray, light candles, bark at the moon, eat cabbage, or whatever it takes to assist me in being judged worthy in the eyes of the suits.
I am crossing every finger and toe and other bodyparts, and doing anything I can figure to get this published.
Thanks in advance.

Well, I always heard that crossing EVERYTHING was BAD luck? LOL, so uncross those eyes, please!

GOOD LUCK!

Thanks guys(gals)... I just got an e-mail stating that they had safely received the manuscript (gotta love e-mail   lol) and that it was complete and had all they needed for consideration...
So far the prayers and cabbage munching (thanks Sue) and the barking at the moon (Thanks Susan) and the well wishes (thanks Midnightsun and Martie) have begun to work... no mistakes so far!! lol

A CHICKEN???????
I don't recall that being on the list, however in this case improv is completely acceptable.

Thanks again to all, and thanks for your support throughout the past few years

Would you prefer a ROOSTER? They make bad tacos, and besides, we need him--the eggs, yanno?

*tapping my toe*

*serenity sprinkles serenity dust*

(and once upon a time, that was a costly blessing... )

So mote it be. sighs and *winks*

Keep us posted, willya?

Gosh, I pray it's accepted and becomes a best seller.  Is it about the wild people on these blue pages?

Thanks again, all...
I sincerely expected this to fall of the radar after the first day.

Karen- once it gets published I will ssend you the price if the serenity dust... of course, as poets make exactly squat on their books, I guess I'll have to send you somoe other payment.... would you accept my ex-wife? she cooks, she cleans... lol

Sandgrain- Everything in the manuscript can be found on the Blue Pages. Some were written because of the people on here (challenges, inspiring writes, etc) and a couple were written about people on here. The only thing I don't offer is expplainations... sometimes readers mis-interpret writes for their own needs at the time... and that is the beauty.

Helen- Thank you for taking time out of your busy work and personal life to torch a few matches on my behalf.

Actually, the break-up was because of a different part of the quote you used...

As poets make exactly squat...

lol
