On an otherwise ordinary day
A man of talent found along his way
A place to post the words he had to say
And started sharing them

Now I can't imagine time before then
To be deprived of his work would be sin
I'd love to give tribute, but can't begin
Ample fan-fare for him

But I'll offer these simple words sincere
Ratleader, my friend, I'm glad you are here
Both man and his poems are held so dear
There's pleasure in each look

You are such a treat for these pages blue
When I long for the best, I know that you
Will have written it - I look forward to
The treasure of your book!

No pressure intended.... well... just a tad! LOL Happy PIP anniversary, Ratleader. *S* I thank you for two years of poetry at its best... and encouragement for others that is beyond compare. *S* I eagerly await more... yes. *S*

I wag back and forth between serious and silly....right now I'm serious. The serious truth is that I don't know whether to smile about this note, or something else, that men aren't supposed to do. I'm not used to recognition, and to have people tell me that I've succeeded in some ways at the things I've tried to be, moves me in a way that I'm not equipped to handle.

Bless you, each one....each for very different reasons, which each of you knows.

And Laura, you've turned what looked like being a bad day, into a good one....as you always seem to do.
