I started at a new school this past Monday. Today I had some extra time between classes today and
I was walking by the Student newspaper and there was a sign saying that they were looking for staffers. I went inside and I got an application. I filled it out and got a call about an hour later and at 2pm I went to a Newspaper Staff meeting and got my first assignment.

I am a staff reporter for The Pioneer!

Wish me Luck! First Deadline is Jan. 17th!

You've either just blessed your life or else you've just cursed it....time will tell!

Meanwhile remember the cardinal rules of journalism...
   1) have fun at it cuz you ain't gettin' paid enough not to
   2) never let having fun cause you to miss a deadline
   3) meet someone you'll care about long-term, but since it is long-term, don't rush it.

Hey Thanks! Yes.. I will post my first article when I finish it before the deadline so you all can let me know if I should make changes.. catch a silly error I might miss. I am excited though. This is going to be a very good opportunity! But it will take some time away from my poetry writing time.
