Just wanted to announce that today, 11-30-04, Linda and I finally made it official. I know we don't hit these boards as much as we used to but this is where we met and passions will always hold a special place in our hearts for that reason. I would like to say thanks to Sharon, Karen, Nan, and so many others, for the friendships that we've found here. Special thanks to Ron for giving us this poetic oasis that brought us together in the first place, and honorary mention to Christopher, who told Linda I always fall in love with the first girl that smiles at me.  |

As interactive as this board is...there'll be no way it could transmit the huge smile on my face right now...or the one on my heart... Congratulations Linda and Michael... I am sooooooo happy for you!! Rhyme and cadence...a match made in poetry land. If I was a poet--I would have wrote this happy ending I cant think of anyone I wanted it for more. This is such beautiful news (I was weeping when I logged in after watching Oprah Winfrey today, and now I am just completely out of control!) Linda? I told Michael soon after I'd heard that you two had gotten together, that I thought about it, and thought: "Well, of course". Peas and carrots, yanno? Congratulations to you both, and well, I'd say this calls for a duet! (laughing, I know, I know, I'm pushy, huh, RON?)  And if I can't get the duet, I'd be happy with a pic... *beaming at you both* I exit, sniffling and sighing. Congrats, you two. |

Congratulations to you both, it is nice to hear something postive coming out of an internet relationship Michael and Linda. Funny, just yesterday I was in the archives, and picked one of Ron's poems, "Cyber Seas" in Open Forum #1 to read, and look at what I saw in the comment section of Cyber Seas written by you in May this year ... /pip/Forum2/HTML/000002-2.html Wonderful news! No pictures, unfortunately - we just had a civil ceremony for now, with the "real" ceremony to take place this July when my children come out to visit. My daughter would never forgive me for "playing wedding" without her. |

I didn't say the "First girl," I said "ANY girl"  Honestly, truly, estatically enthused here... couldn't happen to two better people. Despite (more likely because) of all the levity between us on the board, love ya both and don't hope that things will work out... 'cause I know they will. hugs to both (and throw Mikey a punch on the arm too). hopefully we'll get to see you guys sometime in the not-too-distant future. |
