Well, it's finally come down to induction. I'm measuring ahead of schedule and have been since 32 weeks. My doctor finally decided that our dates were off by a week or so. As of Tuesday, I'm measuring at over 40 weeks and I'm dialated to two centimeters.

Next Tuesday will be my final appointment to get me prepared for induction. At 7:00am Wednesday morning I'll be admitted to the hospital to begin labor.

I'm so nervous, excited and scared right now. Everything will be final by next week. I'm happy that I'm able to share this news with you all, and I can't thank you enough for being supportive and kind to me throughout my entire pregnancy. I promise I will come back after she's born and tell you how it all went, hopefully I'll have a couple of pictures to share.

Right now, I'm just getting everything ready for her. Her bed, bath, clothes, recieving blankets..everything is in place and just waiting for her. As if it hadn't been already, of course. However, now is the time for me to perfect it all, move things around until they're in just the right spot.. I know it probably won't matter once it's all said and done, but I am just so anxious I can't help myself..even though I can barely walk or even stand at this point.

I'm so happy for you...
I remember being filled with awe and wonder(not to mention love beyond anything I ever thought I was capable of) at the little boy I brought into the world.

and yes, me too, I am betting she shows up this weekend!

Even though I've not responded to any of your updates on you and baby, I have kept up with you.
May I say this will be one of the most rewarding times in your life. My prayers go with you and your daughter. When they place her in your arms you will over flow with a love that you never knew capable.

Meg, Karen really nailed it (the feeling) - you are about to feel something incredible happen to you and your body in birth and bonding, and the happy tears that come with it will never be forgotten. Becoming a Mother was the most life changing experience of my life, and after that, a Grandmother. As a Grandmother I know your mother will change that day for sure in ways she never thought possible, as I know I sure did.

I am inclined to go with Susan and wonder if you will even make it until induction day, so pack that bag lady, as you may indeed be spending the weekend in O.R.

All I can tell you Meg, is that once that lil' face stares back at you and you hold that child in your arms, you know you will never ever be alone in this world again, and that, m'friend, is THE greatest blessing.

You make me remember ... my daughter arrived just one hour before the fixed time for induction! Wishing you well. As I have recently become a grandmother I am still filled with awe and I could never stop looking at that little miracle and this will happen to you too ....

Yeah! It is almost Wednesday! I can hardly contain my excitement and thougth it was too bad you couldn't hook up a webcam so we could all be there, (Meghan says, NOT!)

What a wonderous experience, childbirth. I envy you, remembering my own and the total love that I felt. I know all will be fine for you.
